Tell us about your day at Babilou Family Singapore.
Every day at Babilou Family is always busy and exciting!
With 800 employees to take care of, my focus is to build up a strong company culture. I also strategise to attract, retain and develop the right people as they grow together with us. This is especially important when it comes to the recruitment of one of our key positions: Preschool Teachers.
What is your leadership style?
I’m a people person, a good listener, and an enthusiastic and strategic thinker.
As a leader, I’m always looking to support my team members and enhance their capabilities.
At a company level, I develop HR strategies that create a strong and inclusive culture, and also ensure that employees can grow with the company.
What are some differences between the Asian and western view of early childhood education?
Parents in Asia see early childhood education as the first step of their children’s learning journey before formal schooling. On the other hand, western parents prioritises a play-based learning approach.
With the differences between both approaches, that’s where our preschool brands fit in – to offer the early years experiences that parents in Singapore are looking for and create a safe and nurturing home-like environment for their children.
What’s your personal motto?
I truly believe that “A happy employee is an efficient employee”.
One aspect of my work is to ensure that all employees at Babilou Family Singapore are taken care of so that we can build a strong team spirit and bring the company to greater heights.
For instance, a happy teacher will create a positive and supportive environment for a child to learn and grow.
If you are passionate about nurturing young minds, we welcome you to come on board and develop your career with us.
