With the integration of G8 Education Singapore with Nurture Education Group (now known as Babilou Family Singapore) in October 2020, a number of centres under the Bright Juniors, Cherie Hearts and Our Juniors’ Schoolhouse brands underwent a rebranding exercise. This saw the centres refresh their brand names as they operated under Kiddiwinkie Schoolhouse and Little Footprints Preschool.
With this exercise, the centres’ signages and everyday items had to be updated to reflect the new brand name – leaving us with an abundant supply of school items that were brand new and yet to be used. And so, as we began our journey as one big Babilou Family, we reached out to the Cambodia Care Centre to explore the possibilities of supporting them in their outreach efforts.
The Cambodia Care Centre is a Christian non-profit organisation that focuses on supporting the poor and needy in Cambodia. With a primary objective of providing basic education to children to help them break out of their cycle of poverty, the organisation does so through its Cambodia Care School.
Currently, the school runs both preschool and primary level classes using the Cambodian School National Curriculum. Besides empowering children with the necessary skills and knowledge during the school years, the Cambodia Care School also inculcates life values and character building to nurture students who will one day contribute positively towards the community and country.
We at Babilou Family would like to thank the Singapore contact persons of the Cambodia Care Centre, Rev John Lee, Mr Gilbert Wong and their team, for allowing us the opportunity to give back to the community through our blessings of the school items. We hope that the stationery and merchandise will help the school provide its students with the basic learning materials as they make progress in their educational journey.
