This year’s Early Childhood Celebrations & Conference 2025, hosted by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), was an especially meaningful one for us at Babilou Family Singapore.

The event brought together educators, leaders, and practitioners across the sector to exchange ideas, share best practices, and celebrate the milestones that continue to shape early childhood education in Singapore.

Spotlight on Sustainable Education®

We were proud to have Rowena Mark Ramos, our Head of Curriculum, join hands with Dr Laurie Catteeuw, Director of Early Childhood Education from Babilou Family Group, to present a conference workshop titled:
“Sustainable Education® for Quality: An Innovative Framework for Holistic Early Childhood Development and Lifelong Learning.”

The session introduced Babilou Family’s Sustainable Education® framework, which is built on six essential pillars for holistic child development. Educators who attended the workshop explored practical, evidence-based strategies to:

• Create learning environments that support free exploration and discovery.
• Apply responsive planning to meet children’s individual developmental needs.
• Nurture learning experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong learning.

What made the session even more inspiring was the educators’ commitment to applying the framework in their own classrooms, a strong step towards shaping sustainable, impactful educational practices that put children first.

Celebrating SPARK Accreditations

Alongside the conference, the celebrations also recognised the achievements of our preschools that have attained the Singapore Pre-school Accreditation Framework (SPARK).
